What is new in 1.8.1
- Arti is now on iPhone too. Each device keeps its own plans.
- Search the furniture by voice: click the microphone and say what you are looking for. It is recognised on your Mac and never leaves it.
- Vivid colours are simply how Arti draws now — the setting is gone.
- A piece of furniture given a quarter turn casts its shadow the right way round, instead of across the floor beside it
- A room's name shrinks to fit a small room instead of covering it
- The walkthrough opens on a wider view of the room
- Arti now needs macOS 15 or later
First run
The first sixty seconds
Draw a room
Pick the room tool in the left toolbar and drag on the grid. A short animation shows the gesture the first time.
Add a door
Choose a door and click on a wall. It cuts a real opening, with the swing drawn the right way round.
Switch to 3D
The 2D/3D control is in the top bar. Then try “Hide walls”, and walk mode with the arrow keys.
There is nothing to save. Every change is written to your Mac as you make it.
